MAC LIPSTICK SHADE - HEROINE

MAC LIPSTICK IN SHADE HEROINE

I love bright lipsticks, and I have always been a fan of Mac. So it seemed only right that when me and the girls went to Bristol to pop in to Debenhams. I was surprised to see how big the MAC shop was, I would say same size as the covent garden shop just not as busy.

The girls nipped over to the benefit counter, while I had to stay at MAC, It couldn't actually get a sales girl to help me so I was left to try them all! I have just brought a really funky bright pink NARS lipstick but when I saw this purple one I fell in love. After the long wait in the line at the till I finally got my purchase.

It is a gorgeous deep plum purple, with a slight pink hue shade heroine - £15.50

I think even for a darker shade, you can pull this off in the summer. Pair it with some skinnies, and a light pinky floaty top. It would look gorgeous. Very easy as well to do a daytime to night look with this lipstick just by adding darker eye makeup gives it a whole different effect.

Faux fur pom pom, H&M

H&M faux fur pom pom keyring

Just a simple accessory, yet one that makes a statement. I am will admit behind with the whole 'fashion' times, and when I saw this huge faux fur pom pom in Topshop at christmas which was bright red, I really did not find them at all pretty. However this was a gorgeous almost pale pink beige shade, And I just love it. I will just say it is super soft!

At a steal of only £1.99 from h&m I just think this could go anywhere. On the handbag or the keys, with a lovely rose gold key ring it gives it a more 'expensive look'

WORK LOOK

WORK LOOK WITH NEW LOOK

I never post about fashion, Actually come to think of it, I think I have blogged about this once before. I love fashion, I love putting outfits together and playing with clothes. However I think because I am still insecure with myself, I tend to play the safe card a lot.
However with work I have to wear smart, all black and hair tied back So on my days off I do tend to wear brighter clothes just so I don't constantly feel like I am going to a dam funereal.

I went into New Look in Cheltenham, which FYI. CRAP customer service, I basically got insulted by a member of staff, Saying for my size I should shop only in plus size stores..

Hold on…..  *****

So with that current mood, I picked up what I wanted and was out the door.

I got this beautiful long oversized boyfriend jacket/coat, Which I love it is so stylish!!
And I think its perfect for when you're cold you can wrap it around you. It adds a little more ZING to the constant line of black dresses I own.

Newlook for only £29.99 New in.

I also got this lovely dress from H&M, Its slightly fitted around the bust and fits so comfortable, Its so hard to find a plain smart dress where it's actually stylish and fashionable. As normal however H&M never fail!

H&M Black Dress £16.99

H&M Tights £7.99

I also wore a chain and bead necklace from New Look, I don't know why I happen to shop here so much! That was £5.99

August Buys

AUGUST BUYS

I am not the greatest person with money, I am sure any one who knows me knows this. I try and save, then something big always tends to happen and I need to fork out for something. But I have this huge great love for shopping. I have a vast range of scarves and bags in my wardrobe. Mostly because If I'm out and its cold I would go in any shop and buy a scarf. Its a silly logic, and actually thinking about it is most likely where my money goes. I did count about 24 scarves when I packed.. hmm and well I have a love for Ted Baker bags… drool..

Anyway, These are just a couple things I have brought last month. I did buy some cute things for my room. Which is currently all boxed up due to the fact I am moving next week YIPPEE.

I went in MAC (hides) But I was super good and spent about £33.00 pounds in total! Plus the covent garden MAC shop in London, is lovely and so inviting so I cant really be blamed.

I brought a Palette £2.50 ish!
The Palette box thingy itself is about £15.00

So you choose the inside, you can have one for bronzers which come with six bits or even less if you wanted too.

Then of course you buy the eyeshadows separately for £10.00 each

I also got a beautiful new lipstick from MAC.

Another Creme sheen one (told you I loved them), very similar to the Modesty shade I used in the previous post, However this is in the shade Creme cup. It is gorgeous… a lovely pink rosy shimmer.

What am I doing here.. errr

Its a pretty shade, Don't you think?

Another thing I got was a ring… Actually come to think of it I have A LOT of rings two.

This is such a pretty ring, Sterling Silver and Opal trilogy ring.

This was actually a gift from my mum as my step dad works for the Jewellery Channel. So yay!

Since I have been working part time in a jewellery shop I have grown quite the collection of Rings, earrings and necklaces.
But this is just such a different look and a completely different settings compared to the other rings and goes well with just about any outfit. Yes, It is on the ''engagement finger' I am not one too care.

So if you haven't I would recommend trying the jewellery channel for jewellery, you do find some beautiful treasures.

London

Day out in London

I always tell myself I should go london more, Surprising really as I go here couple times a month to see John. I never stop and wander around and actually spend time to shop, Maybe, I will make this a thing. To try and do this more.

OXFORD STREET

It did not take us very long to get to the centre at all, Getting off at Regent park tube and enjoying a lovely stroll down to Oxford street to head to Apple. This is one thing I love, walking past the independent shops and seeing what goodies they have in side. I even found a Percy and Reed salon.. Might make a visit next time.

WHAT I WORE

Jacket - Old favourite from New Look
Jewelled top - New Look 17.99
Long Skirt - from New Look 13.99

 ACCESSORIES

Casio Sheen watch -
Essie Peachy Nail Varnish

A very quiet side of London,

As I was walking past Ted Baker in Regents street, I got handed one of these disks, which registering in store you get a free gift. Turned out to be a little keyring of big ben, Still nice idea Ted Baker!

Now, I have a complete guilty love for Ted Baker bags. The Ted Baker shop in Regents Street is no where as nice as the one in Covent Garden. The one in covent garden is a lot bigger in size with a wider range of both clothing and bags. And, as normal I came across a beautiful statement piece black leather bag.
Little cheeky Ted Baker not putting the prices on the bags in store.

I did however look online when I got home!

Way out my price range for a bag, But absolutely stunning.

Also check out Ted's new range of pug bags online

How gorgeous are these bags!!!

Go to www.Tedbaker.com for more bags!

One of the main reason I actually went to central London was to come to this apple store, I have had so many issues with my phone lately. Luckily it being 5 months old, I just got a replacement.

A quick break at PRET before we got back on the tube to one of my favourite places covent garden.

Camera shy John

 COVENT GARDEN

One of my utterly favourite shopping places from now on, Ted Baker and MAC within a minute of each other….Heaven. In the main square you have Chanel, Dior and if you are a disney freak like me, you will love the Disney store. John was Happy there was a Penguin store, because he loves the clothes from there.

Notice, How beautiful this place is too!

Covent garden Market

Throughout the market there are so many street performers, and you have to give them credit they where very good. I am so surprised at how little shops I went into. I love shopping too, However I was on my best behaviour doing no unnecessary spending.

Yep, I gave in.. I will blog about what delights I brought from MAC later on.

One of the street performers, tightrope walker.

This guy was actually really good, doing tricks for the kids and overall a very good entertainer.

John

The food court, Me and John had such a problem with finding somewhere to eat. There was no spaces anywhere and it began to get a little tedious. The wrong time to eat swell as everywhere was packed.

Where we ate

I don't know if you have ever walked in to a shop, brought something and thought Wow, I love this shop. Yet, had no idea what the shop was called well, I do this constantly. However after about an hour of digging I finally found the name - Belushi's.

Walking around quite hungry due to the fact we had not eaten, We managed to find this little gem of a bar.
By gem, I mean a total winner. The deco of the place was right up my street the walls covered with musicians, Paramore, Elvis, green day posters. The staff where so friendly. I tipped too!
The food was delicious and the drink too!

For literally being right outside the main market at covent garden all the food here was well priced and lunch costing us about £35.00

John went for the 1/2 pound burger which as you can, Is huge. I opted for the pulled pork, which was so yummy. We also got this huge Jammy Jar drink to share, Which is called the Texan Iced Tea this has a lot of Black rum, Tequila, vodka, lemon juice and cola. This all went straight to my head after not eating till 3pm.

Very happy with his choice of burger, Which was HUGE.

Some of my beauties.

After that lovely lunch which turned out to be one of the best burgers I have had in a while, we headed to this amazing sweet shop, I have blogged about this to check out my post before hand called SugarSin

With tired feet and full bellies we made our way back home!
