L'Occitane New Neroli products for mothers day

L'Occitanes Neroli Range

Perfect for mothers day

If you are stuck on what to get your mother for mothers day then look no further, L'Occitane have you covered. I am personally a huge fan of all their products but hands down my favourite fragrance Is Neroli, A really pretty delicate scent, And a cheaper alternative to TOM FORD fragrance. Plus Let's face it who wants to fork out £150 which is a lot of money for a fragrance when you can buy it for a third of the price, who's with me on this?

Neroli is one of L'occitanes ten best seller with orange blossom, white musk, and iris. If your mum, or yourself likes floral really classy smell then I would recommend this. This has a complete range to it, so you could have the whole routine. There is a solid soap, shower gel and hand cream I haven't included in the pictures, due to the fact I don't have it. Prices from this range go from £7 - £52. There are two new products they have released just for mothers day, a new bath milk and an oil. The oil is a great alternative if you find the fragrance being a little costly. Im here to give you some honest opinions about these products.

NEW - NEROLI BATH MILK £18.00

Now I am hands down going to be honest, I would never ever spend this much on a bath milk. I would however spend that for a friend on a luxury gift. But I find with this, I just squeeze it out, and voila before I know it, I have used a third of the bottle. Don't get me wrong, there are perks for this product. For starters it is beautiful bottled and does leave the bath almost milky. But I need some bubbles in my bath!! I cant have a bath without bubbles, its not right!!

I will leave you to make up your mind about this.

NEW- NEROLI BODY OIL £22

Okay, so this is more like it. I would buy it for the price. I currently differ between L'Occitanes milk concentrate £38 and the Neroli body milk £20 which are costly anyway. This is one I am going to put on after the shower in the morning. I don't know about you, but I cannot put body milks on in the morning. I feel like they are heavy stick to my clothes and I just get stressy with being uncomfortable.

So my favourite product out the range the perfume!

FRAGRANCE £52.00

Worth every penny. Rest assured it a fragrance that would make the perfect gift. Or hint at the other half to buy it for you, that always works. Thi is not quite a perfume around 5% off, but the smell does linger and it stays. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this in the summer, yeah I am a strange person I differ my fragrances depending on the season.

BODY MILK £20

I actually have one of the old style bottles, They have made them a lot bigger you get around 75ml more now for the same price. I tell my friends time and time again, to fragrance layer. Shower gel, body and perfume. It really works!! Your perfume lasts a lot longer!!

Overall, this makes a lovely gift, Even if its just a body milk throw in some chocolates and there you have it. Done and dusted for another year.
You can buy gifts set online where you get money off and it comes gift wrapped ready.I have put the link below, interested to see what you get for your mums for mothers day!

Prague My travels day one

PRAGUE DAY 1

Prague - Praha

I am so one of these people that love to travel, be that in england or abroad. I have visited a fair amount of cities in europe but never have I come across one so lovely as Prague. Prague was on the bucket list so when a friend suggested I meet him there for lunch I booked a flight for around 300 return and off I went.

Let me just say that it was one of the most spontaneous things I have done. It was the first time I flew on a plane by myself and of all the airports I could have picked, I picked Heathrow. To my advantage I had booked with British Airways, A great thing as you can check into your flight 24 hours early which means to need to hang around checking in and you can go straight to security.

So after a quick half and a half flight I arrived into prague at around 9.30am in the morning, Getting out of prague airport took less than thirty minutes which was very quick. Then from outside I got a taxi straight to Les Maines hotel in the centre of prague, I had done my research here and I know taxis cost a ridiculous amount to people actually living in prague,. it worked out to be 690 CZ which is around eighteen english pounds. Maybe its due to the fact over in England a forty minute journey would cost us around forty pounds I thought it was not that bad.

I was quite lucky with the weather as it turned out to be a beautiful day so after dropping my bags off at the hotel, I met with my friend and we wandered around the city. I would compare prague to be very similiar to paris just a lot less touristy.

So I was pre told before my flight that if I went into the centre of prague to find a  TRDELNIK stand and try it, It is like a warm cinnamon donut, filled with loads and loads of nutella. They are kind here with the portion sizes, so one of these you can easily share between two.

''A trdelnik is actually a tradiotnal Slovak cake, Orginally from Romania it is also known in Czech Republic. It is made from a rolled dough that is wrapped around a stick, grilled over hot coals and topped with sugar and walnut mix''

So away from the food after a short walk we came to the very famous astrology clock. This is bang on in the centre of prague  in the old square and it is incredible. Everything is costly around here so if you are going to eat dinner in the square be prepared to spilt with your money.

Astrology clock

'' It is a medieval astronomical clock, the clock was first installed in 1410 making it the third oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one that works''

So every hour the clock chimes and the little people start moving out of the windows and if you look closely you will see death on the top right hand side of the clock. When the clock chimes you see him ringing his bell and the rooster moving. It is quite ery when you look at it closely. But it a spectacle not to be missed when you're in prague. I highly recommend paying the 200 CZ a person and walking up to the tower, not only do you get the best views of the city but you also learn the history of the tower. This was something I am glad I did whilst in Prague. The tower itself is wheelchair friendly with an elevator, just to be said there is a lot of walking to the top. But the views on the top watching the sunset are worth it.

So after that we stopped for a drink on the way to prague castle, another huge  thing to see if your ever in prague, Wiki says its the largest ancient castle in the world, and who am I to argue with that?
Back to what I was rambling on about so on the way there we walked past the prague state opera house which was beautifully lit up. I am a fan of classical music and since the opera was inside they also had a huge screen outside showing it and stands where you could buy nibbles and prosecco (the way to my heart) This will be something I will look back few years down the line an think wow.

Having the couple drinks before walking up all those steps up to the castle really helped. As the stairs seem endless. However due to the fact it was around 9.10pm the castle itself was closed but you could still walk around it.

The castle and the grounds are as beautiful as I expected very similar to a cathedral in oleans, france. It was very big, gothic looking and made with such detail.

So dinner turned out to be rather late, I had the traditional beef goulash, when in rome etc. I got a thumbs up of my friend who had been to Prague many times before and said it was one of the best he had tasted. This for me was the best meal I had out out here.

So day one, was full of adventure. And thanks for the 2 hours sleep I got the previous night. I went back to the hotel ready for a busy day,

A little sunshine from L'Occitane

A little sunshine from L'Occitane

Don't you just love a free git, Come on admit it. We all do!

Well if you're a beauty freak like me you are in luck. L'Occitane for the next two months are given away little 'sunshine boxes' which are filled with little goodies. There are two catches however. You must be a VIP at L'occitane, or know someone that is and you must have received an email stating you're lucky enough to receive a complementary gift. Then you can collect a free gift yourself and pass it on to three friends so they can receive them too, How nice right?

If you are not a VIP it is so easy to sign up, Its free too! Just go into your local L'Occitane shop and ask for be put on the system. Its great too because you receive offers and discounts and you will know all about the store events. It is a win win, You can also do it over the phone.

What you will receive

You will get a small lotion and shower gel in the ever so popular verbena range. Which is so zingy and revitalising really a gorgeous summer scent. You also get the soap shown below. Great if you're travelling this summer.

A small Pivoine flora hand cream and a small Shea butter foot cream which is one of their bestsellers, The only thing I will use on my feet. It is amazing, and smells really nice too.

The next thing is the cutest thing ever. They have managed to dry out some lavender seeds, instructions are in the box. It just involves soaking it in water and planting it in soil then after a while Voila, lavender. I just love this idea, what do you all think?

Long gold necklace

SIMPLE GOLD NECKLACE - PRIMARK FIND

You know those last minute dashes around shops, I did one of them last week. It involved last minute plans to go out in the evening, so I had to nip out on my lunch break at work. Took around half hour to go in to three shops including Primark and river island where I had brought a gorgeous white floaty vest and needed a little something to go with it. Couldn't pick between earrings, hair accessories or necklaces! I ended up going with a necklace

This is a gorgeous one I brought from Primark for only £2.00, About 24 inch long so they are made to hang down Which I love! I actually had a girl in bristol comment on it and ask where I brought it from. It is that lovely.

It really is good quality, and I just love the simple design. Another great thing is  because of the price you can buy more and layer it up. I love the different lengths really finishes of a plain outfit. I did buy a few more on my visit to Bristol which I will post soon. Just had to say that this one was my favourite.

What do you think about Primark jewellery would you buy any?

French Connection Event - Cheltenham

French Connection Event
Cheltenham

French Connection store in Cheltenham

I am a blogger, yes but I have never ever shopped in french connection! Is that bad? No not really. I am getting more confident with fashion, I am not a fashion blogger I would say beauty and accessories are more my style. I find it hard to find clothes that fit my awkward size, I guess.

So back to the point French connection held an event at the beginning of the month to celebrate Cheltenham gold cup week with the racing. It has just taken me over ten days to finally blog about this, Yeah I take my time.

So this was an open door event, which means no tickets needed to enter. This was at 6pm-8pm so after the store was closed. You get offered a lovely glass of prosecco when you enter the store, or orange juice for the drivers well thought of there, So I settled for an orange juice. They had music playing at the front of the store, it was a nice atmosphere.

Some gorgeous blue and navy clothes.

Bags and accessories

I don't know how often they do the events, but when you make a visit to your next store it is worth asking.

That skirt was beautiful!

I cant believe I have never shopped in here, the gorgeous clothes the pastels, the pinks and the blues…I just love blue. The skirts, oh the dresses you guys really need to make a visit in to your local stores. You really get what you pay for with clothes like this. I am a huge fan of the dresses however not the sizing I think a 12-14 turned out to be a large..gulp.

I was walking around the store deciding between a jumper and a teeshirt but it is so hard when you're loosing weight, it is a in-between stage of not wanting to buy anything big or too small or spend too much. In the end I settled for this lovely nautical teeshirt, great for spring! It is only £29.99!!

So here came the goody bags, They really filled these up to the brim with lots of beautiful things.

French connection make up bag
L'occitane travel size products
Thortons chocolates
Dior small foundation
Bare minerals samples
Jo Malone hand massage
Dior face consultation
Dior serum

So with my item of clothing I went up to the till, to find around 50 gift cards on the side. The manager was telling me how three out of the fifty gift cards had £50 on! Lucky me picked  a lucky one, And got given the gift card.

So I went back to the accessories and choose this super cute but simple bracelet. Which was so pretty for only £19.99 I love the silver bar across it,

The gift bag and my purchases

Overall, I had a fab night. It got made brilliant when I won the gift card! Who loves free things, especially pretty things!!

Let me know if you have been to an event, I love to see what you guys thought.

PEAK SNEAK AT NEW SHEA FACE CARE BY L'OCCITANE

L'OCCITANES NEW SHEA FACE RANGE

If you are a huge lover off the premium french beauty brand called L'Occitane you will sure love this. On the 15th January this year, 60 stores all around the UK are realising their Shea face range, Which consist of cleansers, toners and face creams. Many items have just been re-fomulated or others completely new such as the cleansing oil. Shea is perfect for the winter, it is nourishing and protecting and perfect for people with dry and sensitive sin.

Cleansers and Toners

SHEA CLEANSING MILK £17.00 200ml

I am starting it off with a favourite, Cleansing milk containing Shea extract. Perfect to get off make up and dirt off the face and neck. This both softens and cleanses the face leaving it baby soft. You want to simply apply to dry skin and wash with damp cotton pad. Simply as that. Shea has this lovely comforting smell to it which is just heavenly. I will purchase this one for sure.

NEW Shea Cleansing Oil £17.00

Beautifully packaged as is the whole range, The have gone for a more modern look. I am so happy that all the cleansers and toners have a pump. Less mess, win win.
This one is new to L'Occitane, Containing both 5% Shea and African baobab oil. So many benefits to african Baobab oil, It protects the skin from high and low temperature, promoting rejuvenation  of the skin. This one balances, cleanses and nourishes. Perfect for stubborn make up and waterproof eye make up. I always recommend if you have greasy skin to always use an oil cleanser, It will balance out the oils. Trust me on that. You simply apply on to dry skin and wash off with warm water, I am personally trying to get my head round if I like this product or not, It is a dry oil, but feels heavy on my skin. So I might use this a couple more times to see whether I like this or not

Shea gentle toner - RE PACKAGED £15.00

Apply this after using cleansers, It soothes the skin and gets rid of excess make up, This one has orange blossom water which is a beautiful ingredient that and cornflower. This is great to apply with cotton pads if gets rid of excess makeup, cleanser, pollution and restores the skins natural Ph balance which then prepares it for moisturising.  I do like this one however, It again leaves a gorgeous scent and really makes your face feel squeaky skin.

SKIN CREAMS

Like before with the Shea skin care range we have two creams 5% Shea light and 25% Ultra Rich.

SHEA LIGHT 5% around £26+

A lovely cream, containing Shea extract and Shea oil. this is perfect for hydrating the skin. If you have skin that is sensitive and needs to be protected this winter. This is the one for you, giving up to 48 hour protection. Its a light silky cream that doesn't leave the face greasy. I actually already have the old one of these, but maybe if I run out I will re-purcash.

NEW Shea Ultra rich 25% around £28+

They have re-fomulate the old cream, This one is a lot thicker and now containing chestnut perfect for those tough dry areas also works as an anti inflammatry. I will be using this one on the t-zone as I get terrible dry skin there. I would highly recommend this if your skin is lacking hydration and you need to really nourish it. I have used this on other places I get dry skin, It really does hydrate the skin without giving it a heavy feel.

So overall, It is worth popping into your local L'Occitane store.

Day 5-6 of my No7 BLOGMAS

Day 5 - 6 of my No7 Blogmas

Less than twenty days to go now until christmas day, I am so excited! We have a lot of family around my mums this year I think its about 15 people in total. A lot of mouths to feed and a lot of children around, and that just makes it more magical.
So I am on to day five and six now, I have found some amazing products which I will purchase again and others not so much. This is a great induction to any range if you are unsure about them and some are travel size others are full size.
So hope you are all enjoying the reviews so far, I know a few of you are mentioning to me about not linking to the actual item on the website, So from now on I will be linking.

No7 Stay Perfect Nail colour
£6.00

Things are getting exciting now, I opened my calendar yesterday to find a lovely nail varnish. A beige which is ok, you know with No7 playing safe with their shades and everything. It is more  of an autumnal shade then winter shade but my mum loves colours like this, So this is one for her.

The varnish itself is a cute size and really easy to apply on the nail. Even better then the ciate Nail varnishes, another good thing is the pigmentation its a really good colour. Over all I would purchase this again if it was a different shade.

December 6th

Lash Impact Mascara £13.50

Absolutely amazing mascara, I would compare this one with elizabeth arden mascara which is priced at  almost double compared to this. It gives you a no clumps, separated lash look. Which makes it look like your wearing false eyelashes without going through the trouble of putting them on. I got the travel sized one, which is so so pretty its all red and sparkly. A very christmassy mascara!

This itself would make a lovely gift and when I get paid I'm going to have to buy it!
